Based on a newly established data collection network in Japan, VisionX has recently finished AI data collection project, ordered by a global giant in the space of office automation. VNX was able to collect high-quality image samples based on the client’s requirements within a very short time period, demonstrating the efficiency of VNX’s de-centralized data crowdsourcing approach. In the future, the VNX token will be used as a reward for AI data miners and circulated globally.

DeepBrain Chain has signed a partnership agreement with TaoBase. TaoBase is an innovative social network platform that fosters cross-border thinking. Through user scenario requirements, the platform precisely connects enterprises, people, service, and resources. With the goal of helping entrepreneurs and SMBS grow, TaoBase taps into the billion dollar industry of talent, entrepreneurs, and SMB markets by integrating AI-powered international directory with online and offline high-quality product and service resources. TaoBase will use its platform to bring VNX enterprises customers who are seeking AI solutions globally.

VisionX has entered a partnership with Silicon Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (SVIEF) to provide a full-packaged AI training camp. SVIEF is the largest China-US forum in Silicon Valley. VisionX will use AI projects currently being developed by the team to provide hands-on, challenging AI development experience for students.

VNX is working with an equipment partner that has created the prototype of imaging defects on high-end, commercialized medical implant products.

VisionX has partnered with K12 organizations to promote K12 AI education. VisionX will use its AI development platform and resources to design and launch K12 AI summer camp in Silicon Valley. This camp will aim to provide AI training, promote STEM learning among students and promote the DBC and VNX community globally.

Tech Development 

Defect Detection (Dataonomy):

  • The visual inspection team has successfully deployed the Federated Learning (FL) framework on DBC network and conducted the distributed training task for visual inspection model.

  • The framework can be used in a wide array of AI applications in the future.

  • VNX has started to design and develop the AI module to integrate into Hubrain’s Hu-Dra visual inspection system. Hu-Dra is a general-purpose visual inspection system, consisting of the following hardware and software features:

  • This product has been designed as a multi-functional image inspection system. It offers different combinations of features, which allow for meeting the inspection requirements for various kinds of workpieces.

  • A variety of convenient features such as rotational position tracking and polygonal windows is available to enable flexible inspection settings.

  • All of the professional experience and know-how of a specialized manufacturer for image inspection have been incorporated in this product to ensure that fast and accurate inspections can be made.

  • A monochrome two-dimensional camera can be connected as standard. Multiple cameras including one-dimensional cameras, color cameras, and high-precision cameras can also be connected as additional options.

  • A detected defect can be highlighted with a frame and can also be zoomed in.

  • A number of defect images can be stored in the image log, which allows you to continue the inspection while keeping a defect image displayed on the screen.

  • The Windows operating system ensures easy file management and allows the communication capability to be utilized.

  • The workpiece registration capability allows various kinds of workpieces to be inspected by easily selecting them.

  • After finishing the integration, Hu-Dra will have the AI based defect detection function and VNX can expect to reach the high-volume sale for licensing.

Visual Anomaly Inspection:

  • Continuously prototyping and developing the product auto-sorting system for medical implant supplier, improved multiple object-identifying software via a new AI model.

  • Using the latest Deep Learning model to optimize the accuracy and speed in OCR for product series number recognition.

AI-based preventive detection: 

Based on the client’s needs, the AI prediction team is currently researching the following topics:

  • Environment surveillance and warning: coal, gas outlook prediction- Smart AI finance prediction: using long and short-term memory (LSTM) of finance timeline and Deep Learning framework to provide smart financial investment advice.

  • Bio-health big data: based on data discovery technology to develop individualized breast cancer patient’s treatment plan- ECG heart attack AI diagnosis.

Progress Report #1

Dear VisionX Community,

Welcome to the first ever VisionX progress report. We will be detailing our most recent and major developments, including partnerships, exchange listings, technical development, community reward programs and more.

VisionX is the first killer AI app incubated in the DECO (decentralized AI ecosystem of DeepBrain Chain and DeepToken Exchange). VisionX utilizes a vast and ever‐expanding dataset to provide cross‐industry AI solutions with greater accuracy, efficiency and cost‐effectiveness (boasting savings of up to 30%) than traditional counterparts.

Our current focus is on visual defect inspection, with our patent‐pending Dataonomy algorithms developed to allow industries such as electronics, textiles, furniture, steel, mining, automobile and display to benefit from emergent technological advancements. Our aim is to expand our reach to incorporate predictive maintenance, pick and place robotics, data curation, cross industry exhibition planning and much more. Boasting tailored solutions for the nuanced requirements of different industries as they prepare for the new era of AI, VisionX will lead the development of a new paradigm powered by blockchain and optimal, customized Artificial Intelligence solutions.

VisionX Improves on the Accuracy of Tesla’s Battery Defect Inspection

The defect detection technology that is currently being used by one of Tesla’s battery providers in Japan was an invention of Dr. Haisong Gu, Chief Technical Officer of VisionX. With VisionX’s latest AI developments, traditional battery defect detection technology will be replaced by a more efficient, accurate and cost‐effective AI detection solution.

VisionX signs formal cooperation with China State‐Owned Mining Conglomerate

The China Coal and Science Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Changzhou) central enterprise signed a strategic cooperation agreement with VisionX, one of our first DECO incubated projects. The group consists of the China Coal International Engineering Research Institute and the General Coal Research Institute of China National Coal Research Co, Ltd. The two central enterprises merged together as a conglomerate for increased expedience, financial support and efficiency in 2008. The enterprise has over 5000 coal mines currently in operation and functions under the direct supervision of the State-owned and backed Assets Supervision and Administration Council Commission. As an active enterprise with substantial financial support and revenue, their involvement with VisionX is extremely exciting news.

As one aspect of the partnership, VisionX will develop visual inspection technology with tailored solutions for mining operations. Within the next three years, the current system of manual inspection is expected to be replaced by the AI visual inspection technology developed by VisionX, providing drastically increased accuracy and efficiency to a major industry pressure point and opening up avenues for serious financial alleviation with its cost‐effective solutions.

VisionX strives to predict, or otherwise identify in a timely manner, abnormal or sub‐optimal conditions with respect to operations. Utilizing deep‐learning, as compared to the traditional digitalized data network, it will be able to predict or report the abnormal data such as coal transport belt anomalies and data regarding underground gas, then provide this information directly to operation managers, improving operation efficiency and safety and reducing risk of halts in production required to either to discover or solve operational issues.

VisionX Reaches Agreement with Huaibei Normal University to Promote Big Data Analysis for Development of Cancer Treatments

As one of the first users of the DeepBrain Chain platform, Huaibei Normal University has recently coordinated an agreement with VisionX to to utilize our Artificial Intelligence solutions in conjunction with DeepBrain Chain’s computing platform to efficiently and accurately analyze breast cancer treatment options.

DeepBrain Chain’s Silicon Valley Lab Receives Two Significant Strategic Investments

On November 10th, DeepBrain Chain’s Silicon Valley Lab reported that it has received two significant strategic investments. One by an undisclosed European-American giant, and the other by established and renowned Gobi Venture Capital operating out of seven offices around the globe.

The investments will assist the development of both DeepBrain Chain and, as an incubated project of the Silicon Valley lab, VisionX.

VisionX and DeepBrain Chain Partner with Ebiztie

On the 7th of November, VisionX, DeepBrain Chain and Ebiztie, Inc. announced a strategic partnership. We will be engaged in a joint effort to improve the R&D effectiveness of Taobase, an Ebiztie company, by leveraging the decentralized artificial intelligent (AI) computing platform developed by DeepBrain Chain, the AI+blockchain company that incubated VisionX. VisionX and Ebiztie will also work together to improve cross-country collaboration between AI companies and small and medium sized manufacturing companies with the development of smart contract technologies in industry AI.

VisionX and DeepBrain Chain Sign Cooperation Agreement with Japan SBF Consulting Co., Ltd.

SBF Consulting Co., Ltd. recently signed a cooperation agreement with VisionX and DeepBrain Chain to jointly promote the application of both project’s innovative technologies in Japanese companies, thereby assisting in the acceleration of the transition into Industry 4.0

VisionX Begins First Listing on Exchanges

VisionX has begun listing on its first exchanges. With a slight delay on the Houbi Cloud implementation for DeepToken Exchange, VisionX has listed on several exchanges beforehand.

VisionX GDIS 2018 Speech

Chief AI Officer Dr. Dongyan Wang and Chief Technical Officer Dr. Haisong Gu presented VisionX at GDIS 2018 in Silicon Valley. Speaking to a crowd of industry experts and enthusiasts, VisionX premiered a live demo of its visual inspection technology, demonstrating its ability to save tremendous amounts of money across multiple industries with its increased accuracy and reduced cost as compared to traditional methods of visual inspection. Dr. Wang and Dr. Gu also discussed the ultimate vision of the company, and detailed its plans to tap into various needs across industries for the application of emergent technology to provide solutions to areas that can benefit greatly from innovation in the coming era of Industry 4.0.

VisionX holds X-Hub Meet-up and Showcases the Project’s Innovative Technology

On November 9th, VisionX hosted a meet-up in Silicon Valley wherein they discussed the latest trends of Artificial Intelligence and blockchain technology with enthusiasts and experts. The VisionX team demonstrated VisionX’s drastically improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness as compared to competitors, highlighting the particular pressure points the technology can alleviate across multiple industries.

From November 9th of November 11th, the DeepBrain Chain Silicon Valley lab brought VisionX to the 2018 AI Frontier Conference. Showcasing the project to to world-class AI companies and esteemed universities, VisionX took the opportunity to demonstrate the innovative technologies multitude of applications to investors and enthusiasts alike.

VisionX Technological Development

⦁ Defect inspection algorithm Dataonomy was used to create a high-precision, customized model for steel and coal conveyor belt defect inspection for customers in the steel and coal industries.

⦁ By balancing the size of each data set, the basic modeling method and computational efficiency of Dataonomy is improved.

⦁ VisionX designed a method for conveyor belt jam and pipe anomaly detection for mines to improve efficiency of visual inspection technology. In response to the requirements of partners and a number of coal companies, VisionX detailed research plans for gas monitoring and early warning systems were formulated to assist coal mines in conducting safety warnings and reducing accident rates.

⦁ VisionX team will develop the first version of the online defect detection product to support future customers’ confirmation of defects remotely.

⦁ The VisionX technical paper was submitted to the Japan Computer Vision Conference (View2018) and received a high evaluation from the conference review panel. It is scheduled to be officially released on December 7th.

VisionX Addresses Community Directly in Two Broadcasts Directed at our Chinese Community

On the 28th of October, VisionX CTO Dr. Haisong Gu and Senior Operations Manager, Kahlen, held a live broadcast for our Chinese audience to discuss technical aspects of VisionX as well as immediate development plans.

On November 2nd, VisionX CAO Dr. Dongyan Wang and Senior Operations Manager, Kahlen, presented to our Chinese community via live broadcast on TokenClub. Dr. Wang also discussed technical aspects of the project, our vision for the application of the technology across multiple industries worldwide, and the way in which we aim to achieve said vision.

Both broadcasts attracted a large amount of attention and interaction, and we received a lot of positive sentiment from our Chinese community.

VisionX Community Engages in Creative Participation Competition

Since launch, VisionX’s global community has demonstrated a keen interest and skill in the creation of VisionX themed contributions in the form of stickers, animations, photos, videos and more. We are extremely pleased to see the enthusiasm and creativity on display.

VisionX Receives Positive Review by KOL Altcoin Buzz

Building An Industry AI Trading Market Powered by Blockchain

The invention of the steam engine and electricity marked the beginning of the industrial era. The emergence of the internet led to another technological revolution. Today, with the explosive development of computing capabilities and the gathering of big data, artificial intelligence is primed for leapfrog development; ready to usher in a new era of unprecedented industrial revolution. VisionX, the industry smart chain, appears with opportune timing. Boasting tailored solutions for the nuanced requirements of different industries as they prepare for the new era, VisionX will lead the development of a new paradigm powered by blockchain and optimal, customized Artificial Intelligence solutions.

Leading the Path to Industry 4.0

Industrial civilization is fueled by the gathering and applications of big data, and in particular, industry data. We sit atop a gold mine of global industry data whose value has yet to be tapped. According to data from KPMG, by 2020, the global AI market will be worth $4 trillion. Statista forecasts that the value of industry data at the end of 2018 will be $42 billion. For a fitting example of this explosive development, consider the visual inspection industry. China has over 60 million surface inspectors and spends $350 billion every year in this industry. Another example is robotic pick and place, estimated to be worth $47.3 billion by 2020.

The trend of industrial development is rather clear; constantly increasing product quality, on‐demand production and faster delivery time. As a consequence of these demands, labor costs keep rising and reports of human errors are frequently noted. One challenge is the lack of cross‐ industry AI solutions. Using current industry practices, in order to receive AI solutions, companies are required to first provide data. Additionally, it’s difficult for a single company to generate enough valid data to be provided with an AI solution. This is where VisionX comes in.

In the era of Industry 4.0, VisionX combines blockchain with AI to provide industry solutions starting with product surface defects detection and eventually expanding to offer thousands of tailored AI solutions to all manner of industries.

Smart Industry Starts with Vision

Making intelligent machines be able to “see” product surface defects has become a difficult roadblock worldwide. Consider the following examples: small scratches, dents and holes can affect the quality and integrity of steel products; the tiny defects on textiles or zippers may deter customers from making a purchase; the flaws on aeronautical parts or safety belts may have public safety consequences; and surface defects on LED, LCD or solar panels will cause them to operate less efficiently.

VisionX’s goal is to build the world’s largest surface defects detection images recognition database. It has the largest and highest‐quality image dataset that includes more than 130,000 images and over 1 million meta data sets. It uses a Dataonomy algorithm to analyze relevant data with the goal of creating both general purpose and tailored AI solutions. It offers simple and efficient deployment and promises an accuracy rate of more than 95%. VisionX will allow savings of up to 30% as compared to competitors that utilize more traditional methods.

VisionX can be applied to consumer electronics, textiles, furniture, steel, mining, automobile and display industries. In the future, it can be extended to predictive maintenance, robotic pick and place and cross industry exhibition planning.

Dataonomy Smart Algorithms

VisionX has multiple patents, including one for automated AI ‐based surface inspection systems and methods and one for AI ‐based object recognition and manipulation systems and methods. Furthermore, VisionX has a patent pending for Dataonomy, a data classification algorithm which is its core IP.
Dataonomy is a self ‐developed taxonomy algorithm and provides an innovative way to categorize data, discovering the internal relations between large‐scale public data and more specific cross‐ industry defect data.
At the moment, the Dataonomy algorithm has successfully helped with yielding results from visual inspection exercises, including successfully challenging the international industry surface defect inspection image data set (DAGM 2007). Compared to currently employed traditional methods and deep ‐learning methods, it shows a clear advantage in the accuracy of its inspection capabilities.

VisionX Smart Industry Trading Market

No matter how smart an algorithm is, it can never sustain a complete ecosystem, because of the scattered data and high ‐costs for a single company to conduct research, as well as a general lack of necessary data among industries. VisionX’s solution is an ecosystem built on blockchain to incentivize cross‐industry participation. People can offer their datasets and VisionX will verify and test that contribution. VisionX will organize, clean and annotate the data in order to build an Industry X basic dataset and an Industry X basic AI solution, as well as providing customized AI solutions for special clients. Through the collection of data, the accuracy of such solutions can be as high as 99.97%; meanwhile, a decentralized cloud AI computing structure will support large‐ scale cloud deep‐learning network training to provide clients with quick and frequent upgrades and iterations.

Based on the data contribution recorded on the blockchain, users will receive token rewards and a percentage of the profit. VNX token rewards will encourage people to offer data, solutions and services; 15% of the profit from AI solution’s sales will be distributed to data contributors, 65% will be given to solution providers and dataset builders and 20% will go to the VisionX Foundation. VisionX Foundation will use the 20% to buy back and burn VNX tokens, and they will continue to buyback and burn as much as 50% of the tokens in circulation.

VisionX has built a bridge for industries and enterprises to realize cross‐industry collaboration with the goal of creating high‐quality AI solutions and leading the way into Industry 4.0. In the future it will be able to serve thousands of industries and offer millions of AI solutions with a vast and ever‐expanding dataset. Starting at defect detection, VisionX will expand into robot pick and place, predictive maintenance, smart voice interaction, supply chain and much more.

Their potential partners include the world’s top 500 companies, tech giants, steel manufacturers, largescale printing machine providers, image quality inspection in traditional enterprises, automation, robotic device developers and more.
